People I Know was my first foray into making webcomics. It started off as a photocopied, hand-stapled zine that I made for friends. Since then, I created over 1000 strips, it’s made the front page of Reddit and been turned into a 200+ page book.
This series featured a variety of characters - Toby the dinosaur, his best friend Christina, a mysterious and mean green blob... the list goes on.
This series was a great education in a lot of skills I still value today - creating recognisable characters, making use of every panel, working to a consistent schedule. This series also got me into tabling at conventions like MCM (London), Thought Bubble (Leeds) and SPX (Maryland, USA).
